BLUES WORKSHOP with Bradley/McGillivray & friends

Special guest Murray Porter

Don’t miss this exciting event - the smoking band of Sheldon Bradley, Ruth McGillivray, Pat Haavisto, Chris Andersen and special guest Murray Porter will perform several pieces, then discuss thier individual roles in the ensemble as well as take questions from the audience.  Bring your instruments!  After a short intermission, budding ’bluesicians’ can come to the stage and be coached by the house band as they jam with amateur and pro alike.  A highly recommended learning experience and always fun to watch, too.

Acclaimed guitarist, vocalist, composer, and a favourite at the Yale with over twenty years experience, he’s shared a stage with Elvin Bishop, Long John Baldry, Jim Byrnes, the Powder Blues, and Kenny Neal to name a few.

The voice of Incognito and Oliver and the Elements, he’s also known for his harp playing, guitar picking, and recording prowess. He’s a stalwart on the Vancouver Blues scene and has been playing at the Yale for what’s been described as ‘eons’.
